Adrian Belew, a multi-instrumentalist and innovative guitarist, best known for his unique guitar sound and his work as guitarist, co-writer, and lead vocalist for the progressive rock band King Crimson, will be coming to Israel for a one-night-only performance at the Barby in Tel Aviv on Wednesday, February 3, 2016. The Adrian Belew Power Trio has been touring and performing for the past decade, with Belew on guitar and vocals, Julie Slick on bass, and Tobias Ralph on drums.

Discovered in 1970 by Frank Zappa with whom he then toured, Belew went on to tour with Talking Heads and David Bowie, recording and performing with leading musicians and bands – Nine Inch Nails, Laurie Anderson, Paul Simon, Tom Tom Club. The prolific musician released his first solo album in 1982, with 19 more to follow. Belew joined King Crimson in 1981, and founded The Bears in 1985 (they toured Israel in 1986). The Adrian Belew Power Trio was formed in 2006, when he met sister and brother Julie and Eric Slick at a ‘school of rock’ summer music workshop. The power trio began a decade of touring and performing, with Tobias Ralph joining on drums, replacing Eric Slick. They performed in Israel in 2013 as a part of The Crimson ProjeKCt. The concert at the Barby will feature a playlist of King Crimson favorites as well as solo material of Adrian Belew.
