If you have a child or know one, <a href=\"http:\/\/www.haifakids.co.il\/\" target=\"_blank\"><strong>The Haifa International Children\u2019s Theatre Festival<\/strong><\/a> makes a terrific Passover outing. Taking place from April 20 \u2013 22 at the Haifa Theatre on the Carmel, this year\u2019s festival celebrates the centennial of one of Israel\u2019s best poets, and beloved poets for children: Lea Goldberg. The opening event will be a musical\u00a0 homage to Lea Goldberg, directed by Roni Ninio.\u00a0 Anya Bukstein, Keren Hadar, Sivan Bronstein, Ruby Kisos, Iftach Gefen and Shlomi Bartonov will sing Goldberg\u2019s well known poems for children with music composed by talented artists who understand, as Goldberg did, that children deserve the best \u2013 Yoni Rechter, Sasha Argov, Shalom Hanoch, Miki Gavrielov, and a new composition from Rafi Kadishson, accompanied by the Haifa Symphony Orchestra.<\/p>\n<figure id=\"attachment_11789\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-11789\" style=\"width: 432px\" class=\"wp-caption aligncenter\"><a href=\"http:\/\/www.midnighteast.com\/mag\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/04\/things.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-full wp-image-11789 \" title=\"things\" src=\"http:\/\/www.midnighteast.com\/mag\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/04\/things.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"432\" height=\"594\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.midnighteast.com\/mag\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/04\/things.jpg 432w, https:\/\/www.midnighteast.com\/mag\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/04\/things-218x300.jpg 218w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 432px) 100vw, 432px\" \/><\/a><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-11789\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Things I Keep to Myself\/Photo: Kfir Bolotin<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>The festival is an amazing marathon of plays for children of all ages, there really is something for everyone. The program includes: a competition of original Israeli plays, guest plays from Italy and Spain, two guest plays for the Haredi community, two guest plays in Arabic, and a score of guest plays in Hebrew.
