Coming to Israel for one performance only – Mojave3<\/strong> will be at the Barby in Tel Aviv on May 7, 2011! The members of this British indie band are: Neil Halstead, Rachel Goswell, Simon Rowe, Alan Forrester, and Ian McCutcheon. If you haven\u2019t heard them yet, it\u2019s time to start listening.

Before forming Mojave3 Goswell, Halstead and McCutcheon performed together as Slowdive, considered part of the shoegazing subgenre of alternative rock in the UK\u00a0 \u2013 vocals as instrument, distortion, ambient soundscapes \u2013 cool. When Slowdive broke up in 1994, they decided to explore a more acoustic sound as Mojave3, releasing their first album Ask Me Tomorrow<\/strong> in 1995.<\/p>\n

The three were joined by Simon Rowe and Alan Forrester soon after and the group has released five albums together, with two solo segues along the way: Neil Halstead\u2019s Sleeping On Roads<\/strong> and Rachel Goswell\u2019s Waves Are Universal<\/strong>. Their 5th album, Puzzles Like You<\/strong>, was produced in New York by Victor Van Vugt (PJ Harvey, Nick Cave, Beth Orton, Luna, Athlete), and the cover was designed by Thomas Campbell.
