Tel Aviv University Department of English and American Studies will host a poetry reading in Hebrew and English at 16:00 today, Wednesday, May 25, 2011 in room 001 of the Webb Building, with greetings by Professor Shirley Sharon-Zisser and an introduction by Professor Karen Alkalay Gut. Mark Strand will read his poems in English, translator Uzi Weill and Israeli poets Ori Bernstein, Raquel Chalfi, Mordechai Geldman, Amir Or and Rafi Weichert will read translations in Hebrew.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/event.php?eid=203463643029441\" target=\"_blank\">The American Center will host the poet tomorrow, Thursday, May 26<\/a>, 2011 at 20:30, 19 Keren Hayesod Street, Jerusalem. The festival \u2013 5 days of Israeli and International features, docs, animation and student films, workshops and discussions, with all festival events FREE and open to the public occupies a special place on the Israeli cultural scene. The festival has been coordinated by the Film and Television School of Sapir College since its initiation in 2002 by Avner Faingulerent, the festival\u2019s executive director. All visitors entering the  site become subject to a set of rules creating a parallel social reality,  receiving instructions selected randomly via computer. The computer generated  instructions will create the framework for all interactions in this temporary  community, blurring the distinctions between will and action, private and  public.
