Here\u2019s the information from the source:<\/p>\n<p>Mass media is the general public\u2019s primary source of information about science and technology.\u00a0 Recognizing the importance of how science is represented in the media and public discourse, the Israel Academy of Sciences and Humanities and the Technion \u2013 Israel Institute of Technology, as well as other organizations, initiated a series of conferences on the subject.<\/p>\n<p>The annual Israel Science Communication Conference explores the role of science in Israeli public discourse. The conference brings together scientists, media researchers, journalists, editors, spokespeople, formal and informal science educators and others who care about the field of Science Communication, with the goal of creating a community of activists and researchers.
