A group of poets in Jerusalem decided to make the voice of poetry heard in the land and in the daily lives of Israelis. Ketovet (Hebrew \u2013 address) was founded in May 2002 by five friends: Gilad Meiri, Shai Dotan, Lyor Shternberg, Ariel Zinder and Dorit Weisman. Not content merely to \u201cpublish another book,\u201d these poets take poetry out to where the people are, whether it\u2019s the supermarket or the football stadium; reaching out to marginalized groups in society, and expanding their activities over the years to include an annual poetry festival: <a href=\"http:\/\/www.midnighteast.com\/mag\/?p=13645\" target=\"_blank\">One Square Meter<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p><em>Poetry Limited<\/em>, a documentary film by Dorit Weisman, follows Ketovet and their impact on Jerusalem\u2019s cultural scene. The film will premiere next Thursday, January 12, 2012 at the Jerusalem Cinematheque at19:00, followed by a discussion with filmmaker Dorit Weisman and poetry readings by members of Ketovet.
