His name synonymous with the groundbreakers of<br \/>\nthe genre, Tyner has moved gracefully through different eras of the jazz narrative<br \/>\nwith his esoteric piano style and unparalleled chord sophistication. A frequenter at<br \/>\nthe Grammies since the \u201870s, Tyner\u2019s own record label under his name has so far<br \/>\nlaunched some of the finest modern jazz around \u2013 personally chosen by the one and<br \/>\nonly surviving member of the John Coltrane Quartet.<\/p>\n<p>Since Coltrane\u2019s death, Tyner has released nearly 80 albums, earned four Grammys<br \/>\nand in 2002 was awarded the prestigious title of Jazz Master from the National<br \/>\nEndowment of the Arts. His record label has produced renowned jazz names such as<br \/>\nRon Carter, Bill Frisnell, John Scofield and Bela Fleck, as well as albums of his own<br \/>\nsolo piano performances.
