Kobi Ben Meir, Nordmann Family Associate Curator in the Ruth Youth Wing for Art Education, has created an experience of sights, sounds, sensation and associations with works by contemporary Israeli and international artists, objects from the museum\u2019s collection of Jewish world culture, archaeology and illustrated books, and works commissioned expressly for the exhibition.<\/p>\n<p><em>Good Night<\/em> includes works by Darren Almond, Jonas Dahlberg, Claire Fontaine, and Mariana Vassileva. Among the works created for the exhibition are Alma\u2019s Blanket by Julianne Swartz \u2013 an electronic blanket based on the dimension\u2019s of a blanket belonging to the artist\u2019s daughter Alma, that murmurs words of comfort in English, Hebrew and Arabic; Lullaby by Hadassa Goldvicht and Anat Vovnoboi \u2013 a video featuring museum visitors and staff singing the lullabies recalled from their childhood; and The Bed\u2019s Dream by Dena Shenhav \u2013 a foam recreation of a child\u2019s bedroom.<\/p>\n<p>Interactive installations include the \u201cGoodnight Moon Room,\u201d transforming the classic bedtime story by Margaret Wise Brown and illustrator Clement Hurd into an immersive environment.<\/p>\n<p>The Passover holidays are an excellent time to enjoy the exhibition, with free admission for children April 7 \u2013 14, 2012, and free admission for all on Hag Sheni Eve, April 12, 2012.
