Summerdance<\/strong> 2012 will take place at Suzanne Dellal from July 2 \u2013 August 30, with an abundance of dance in diverse styles, and an alternative dance festival \u201cMahol Aher<\/em>\u201d presenting experimental works. Looks like it\u2019s going to be an amazing season!<\/p>\n

Summer premieres include:<\/p>\n

Cerberus<\/strong> \u2013 choreographed by Yoram Karmi for his dance company Fresco. A world premiere, the work explores the passage from this world to the next, with the mythological three-headed dog Cerberus guarding the gates to the Underworld.<\/p>\n

Black Fairytale<\/strong> \u2013 Israeli premiere of a work choreographed by Yossi Berg and Oded Graf, a surreal tale for 6 performers on the way to find and define Utopia.<\/p>\n

Kamea Dance Company<\/strong> will perform a new work for children about the enchanting world of toys – \u201cOlam HaTza\u2019azuim Shel Daniel,\u201d choreographed by Or Abohav.<\/p>\n

Kolben Dance Company<\/strong> will present \u201cOchlim: Sipur Ahava\u201d – a multi-disciplinary work on the subject of food, taking place around a table that changes its shape with every course.<\/p>\n

Talia Paz<\/strong> in collaboration with Nigel Charnock<\/strong> will present an evening exploring love vs. sex and life vs. art. Talia Paz and Michael Winter will perform in \u201cHaunted by the Future,\u201d a duet choreographed by Nigel Charnock. The evening will include a duet by Ofra Idel and a new dance piece choreographed by Nadar Rosseno \u201coff-line.\u201d<\/p>\n

Flamenco<\/strong> lovers can look forward to three new works: \u201cIllusions,\u201d choreographed by Carmel Natan-Shelly<\/strong>; Yael Tal\u2019s<\/strong> \u201cTakadimi-Takon\u201d an encounter between Spanish and Indian dance; and Remangar Dance Company<\/strong> will present \u201cTiempo de Maripoza.\u201d<\/p>\n

Rena Shenfeld<\/strong> will celebrate 50 years of creativity with \u201cBach,\u201d choreographed by Rena Shenfeld and performed by her dance company, with pianist Gil Shohat joining the dancers onstage to play Bach.<\/p>\n
