Now in its 12th edition, the festival is under the baton of a new artistic director, pianist and conductor Dr. Uri Leshman.<\/p>\n<p>The annual event seeks to foster a love of music with fun and colorful concerts, musical plays and dance performances that communicate to a young audience without compromising on quality. In this spirit, throughout the days of festival, in addition to the scheduled performances, there will be outdoor musical fun for the whole family in the Holon Theatre Plaza. A new and exciting outdoor event this year will be \u201cMy First Music Lesson\u201d \u2013 any child who would like to try out a lesson on one of the available instruments, will be able to have a go at it, guided by teachers from the Steinberg Music Centre in Holon.\u00a0 Adding to the excitement will be flash mob performances of dancers from the Holon Reim Dance Centre \u2013 can\u2019t tell you when these will happen, it\u2019s a surprise!<\/p>\n<p>The festival will present three original productions:<\/p>\n<p><strong>Angry Birds on Safari<\/strong> &#8211; A concert conducted by Dr. Uri Leshman, hosted by Idan Alterman and with the participation of the New Haifa Symphony Orchestra with characters from the Angry Birds computer game. The concert will focus on the similarities between the composition of classical music hundreds of years ago, and modern tunes, such as the music for the Angry Birds computer game, which is also based on a theme and its variations.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Atzu Ratzu Gamadim<\/strong> \u2013 a musical tribute to the poet Miriam Yellin Steklis, whose writing touches the hearts of many and whose poems for children have inspired compositions by Shmulik Kraus and Uzi Hitman. The concert will be conducted by Dr. Uri Leshman with the Camerata Orchestra performing new arrangements to the songs. Performers will include:\u00a0 Li Biran, Rama Messinger, Guy Freedman, child singer Sean Gittelman and the event will be hosted by Heni Nahmias.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Television Adventure<\/strong> &#8211; a new musical written by the talented comic actor Dror Keren salutes favorite Israeli children\u2019s telelvision shows, with performers: Dror Keren, Oded Paz, Roni Daloumy, Avi Grainek, and Dafna Dekel.<\/p>\n<p>More festival highlights:<\/p>\n<p><strong>Wonderland<\/strong> \u2013 by choreographer Yoram Karmi and the Fresco Dance Company. A journey with Alice as she discovers the truly important things in life, based on Lewis Carroll\u2019s Alice In Wonderland.<\/p>\n<p>The Revolution Orchestra, conducted by Roy Oppenheim will perform <strong>Peimot<\/strong> (beats) &#8211;\u00a0 a concert for orchestra, actor and animated film. The production is supported by the Israeli Lottery.
