The lecture is part of the Embassy\u2019s \u201cShishagrirut\u201d series of Friday talks.<\/p>\n<p>Raz Greenberg is a PhD student at the Communication and Journalism Department of the Hebrew University in Jerusalem, studying animation as a text. Greenberg focuses on early Japanese animation, winning an award for his MA thesis \u201cImages of Childhood in the Films of Hayao Miyazaki.\u201d Greenberg served as a curator for the exhibit \u201cManga: Introduction to Japanese Comics\u201d at the Yehiel Nahari Museum in Ramat Gan, and has published several essays on animation in periodicals, including \u201cHayao Miyazaki and Europe\u201d in the Bezalel Art School\u2019s online periodical.<\/p>\n<p>Entrance is free, but advanced registration is required, either at the Culture Section of the Embassy: isrjapan@netvision.net.il.
