Director and choreographer Deborah Colker’s dance company will perform in Israel for the first time. Performances will take place at the Jerusalem Theatre on January 21 & 22, 2013, with Tel Aviv performances, in the context of the Tel Aviv Performing Arts Center (TAPAC) dance season, from January 23 – 26, 2013.<\/p>\n

The Brazilian Companhia de Dan\u00e7a Deborah Colker will perform MIX<\/em>, Colker received the Laurence Olivier Award for Outstanding Achievement in Dance in 2001 for her choreography on this show. A pianist and professional handball player before she turned to dance, Colker had the opportunity to express her musical interests in OVO, a work that she wrote, choreographed and directed for Cirque du Soleil in 2009. Her background in sports is reflected in her energetic, athletic choreography, an explosive meeting of muscle and imagination.
