Raphael Nadjari’s film A Strange Course of Events<\/em> has been selected for screening in the prestigious Director’s Fortnight (Quinzaine) at the Cannes Film Festival. The program runs from May 2 – 26, 2013.<\/p>\n

A Strange Course of Events<\/em> is director Nadjari’s third film to participate in the Cannes Festival, his film Tehilim<\/em> was shown in the Official Selection in 2007, and Apartment #5C<\/em> was shown at the Director’s Fortnight in 2002.<\/p>\n

Shaul (Uri Pepper), the film’s protagonist, a solitary divorced man, tries to overcome his difficult emotional state. He goes to see his father Shimon (Moni Moshonov) in Haifa and confronts him, blaming his father for all his current woes. Shimon and his partner Betty (Michaela Eshet), try to help Shaul with alternative methods, using stones with magical attributes and therapeutic oils. With their help, Shaul becomes much more optimistic…<\/p>\n
