Asif means harvest in Hebrew, and the harvest of Israeli animated films reveals diverse themes, approaches and techniques in both personal and commercial projects.<\/p>\n<p>It is also a day to recognize achievements, and following prizes were awarded:<\/p>\n<p>The Gross Prize for Excellence in Animation 2013 was awarded to <a href=\"http:\/\/www.midnighteast.com\/mag\/?p=27264\" target=\"_blank\"><strong>Mysh Rozonov<\/strong><\/a><\/p>\n<p>2013 Asif Award for Best Independent Film: <em>Hollow Land<\/em> by <strong>Michelle and Uri Kranot<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>The jury commended the film for its &#8220;clear and original visual language, in which Michelle and Uri Kranot created a poetic film that is both humorous and sad. It is a very personal story, very Israeli, and yet cosmopolitan. Like its protagonists, the film itself began in development in Israel and set out to wander. The exceptional production quality, the original story and uncompromising visual force in an independent film &#8211; the jury has chosen to award Hollow Land first place in the independent film category.&#8221;<br \/>\n<iframe loading=\"lazy\" src=\"http:\/\/player.vimeo.com\/video\/61020655\" height=\"281\" width=\"500\" allowfullscreen=\"\" frameborder=\"0\"><\/iframe><br \/>\nHonorable mention was awarded to two films:<\/p>\n<p><em>Feet in the Water, Head in the Movies<\/em> by <strong>Avi Ofer<\/strong><br \/>\n<iframe loading=\"lazy\" src=\"http:\/\/www.dailymotion.com\/embed\/video\/xx5089\" height=\"270\" width=\"480\" frameborder=\"0\"><\/iframe><br \/>\n<a href=\"http:\/\/www.dailymotion.com\/video\/xx5089_feet-in-the-water-head-in-the-movies_creation\" target=\"_blank\">Feet in the Water, Head in the Movies<\/a> <i>by <a href=\"http:\/\/www.dailymotion.com\/aviofer\" target=\"_blank\">aviofer<\/a><\/i><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/musaf.bac.org.il\/article\/tvrnvt-shmyrha\" target=\"_blank\"><em>Toranut Shmira<\/em> <\/a>(Guard Duty) by <strong>Ma&#8217;ayan Zuriel<\/strong> and <strong>Yasca Mayo<\/strong> for Beit Avi Chai<br \/>\n<iframe loading=\"lazy\" src=\"http:\/\/player.vimeo.com\/video\/49636181\" height=\"281\" width=\"500\" allowfullscreen=\"\" frameborder=\"0\"><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p>The Asif Award for Best Music Clip was awarded to <em>Kingdom Crumbs &#8211; Evoking Spirits<\/em> by <strong>Ori Toor<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The Asif Award for Best Commissioned or Commercial Film was awarded to <strong>Merav and Yuval Natan<\/strong> for &#8220;Kidum &#8211; Hachi Mitkadmim BaPsychometri&#8221; (Yehoshua Advertising)<\/p>\n<p>Honorable Mention was awarded to <strong>Nir ve Gali<\/strong> for <em>Shana Tova<\/em><\/p>\n<p>The Asif Award for Best Animation for Children was awarded to <em>Milmulim<\/em> by <strong>Sharon Gazit<\/strong>, Pil Animation for Channel One &#8211; Children and Youth Department<\/p>\n<p>The Asif Award for Best Student Film, in memory of Tal Yacobson, was awarded to <em>Slipping Away<\/em> by <strong>Adi Brodsly<\/strong>, The School for Visual Theatre<br \/>\n<object width=\"560\" height=\"315\" classid=\"clsid:d27cdb6e-ae6d-11cf-96b8-444553540000\" codebase=\"http:\/\/download.macromedia.com\/pub\/shockwave\/cabs\/flash\/swflash.cab#version=6,0,40,0\"><param name=\"allowFullScreen\" value=\"true\" \/><param name=\"allowscriptaccess\" value=\"always\" \/><param name=\"src\" value=\"\/\/www.youtube.com\/v\/7xmoYuK3kVI?hl=en_US&amp;version=3&amp;rel=0\" \/><param name=\"allowfullscreen\" value=\"true\" \/><embed width=\"560\" height=\"315\" type=\"application\/x-shockwave-flash\" src=\"\/\/www.youtube.com\/v\/7xmoYuK3kVI?hl=en_US&amp;version=3&amp;rel=0\" allowFullScreen=\"true\" allowscriptaccess=\"always\" allowfullscreen=\"true\" \/><\/object><\/p>\n<p>Second Place was awarded to <em>YES\/NO<\/em> by <strong>Ofer Winter<\/strong>, Bezalel<br \/>\n<iframe loading=\"lazy\" src=\"http:\/\/player.vimeo.com\/video\/69754407\" height=\"281\" width=\"500\" allowfullscreen=\"\" frameborder=\"0\"><\/iframe><br \/>\nHonorable Mention was awarded to <em>Reflections<\/em> by <strong>Bosmat Agiuf<\/strong> and <strong>Alon Ziv<\/strong>, Bezalel and <em>Cafe Babel<\/em> by <strong>Michal Rabinovich<\/strong> and <strong>Dafna Ben Ami<\/strong>, Bezalel<\/p>\n<p>The Asif jury for 2013: Ayala Sharot, Barak Drori, Noam Meshulam, Pablo Utin, Sara Hatucha.
