Gvanim BeMahol (Shades of Dance), a showcase for emerging choreographers, will take place from October 13 – 17, 2015, with performances at Suzanne Dellal in Tel Aviv, Kfar Blum, and the Beer Sheva Fringe Theatre.<\/p>\n

Artistic directors Sharon Fridman, Odelya Kupperberg and Shlomit Fundaminsky have focused on the research and expression of physical individuality, with the body as the powering engine and connection between the personal and the collective space.<\/p>\n

Gvanim BeMahol, the Shades of Dance Festival, was initiated to encourage the creation of Israeli choreography. The first competition took place in the city of Ramleh in 1986 as a joint initiative of Omanut La\u2019am and Israel Discount Bank cultural projects, and from there the festival moved to the Duhl Centre in Tel Aviv. With the establishment of the Suzanne Dellal Centre for Dance in 1989, the festival found a permanent home.
\nHeld once every two years, Gvanim has launched the careers of many prominent Israeli choreographers, including: Liat Dror and Nir Ben Gal, Tamar Borrer, Inbal Pinto, Barak Marshall, Yasmeen Godder, Emanuel Gat, Ronit Ziv, Shlomi Bitton, Anat Danieli, Renana Raz, Noa Wertheim and Adi Sha\u2019al, Itzik Galili, Sally Ann Friedland, Yoram Karmi and Yossi Yungman.
