The choreography of Marius Petipa and Lev Ivanov, and some of the most beautiful ballet music, composed by Pyotr Illich Tchaikovsky, assure its place as one of the most beloved ballets. The much acclaimed St. Petersburg Ballet is currently celebrating their 20th anniversary, and will present Swan Lake and Giselle in Israel, with performances at the Tel Aviv Performing Arts Centre, as well as Jerusalem, Haifa, and Beer Sheva, from March 1 &#8211; 10, 2016. Much anticipated: Irina Kolesnikova, Prima Ballerina of the St. Petersburg Ballet Theatre will work her magic as Odette\/Odile.<br \/>\n<iframe loading=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/61hI2QHAnlA\" width=\"560\" height=\"315\" frameborder=\"0\" allowfullscreen=\"allowfullscreen\"><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p>Founded in 1994 by Konstantin Tachkin, the St. Petersburg Ballet Theatre tours extensively, and travels with its own orchestra conducted by Alexander Kantorov. The dancers are primarily culled from the Vaganova Ballet Academy in St. Petersburg.
