The company will present two programs: Maurice B\u00e9jart\u2019s <em>Bol\u00e9ro<\/em> and <em>Ballet for Life<\/em>, dedicated to Freddie Mercury and the dancer Jorge Donn, with music by Queen and Mozart. The performances will take place in October 2016.<!--more--><br \/>\n<iframe loading=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/player.vimeo.com\/video\/86912879\" width=\"500\" height=\"281\" frameborder=\"0\" allowfullscreen=\"allowfullscreen\"><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/vimeo.com\/86912879\">B\u00e9jart Ballet Lausanne &#8211; Ballet for Life &#8211; Le Presbytere n&#8217;a rien perdu de son charme, ni le jardin de son \u00e9clat<\/a> from <a href=\"https:\/\/vimeo.com\/bejartballetlausanne\">B\u00e9jart Ballet Lausanne<\/a> on <a href=\"https:\/\/vimeo.com\">Vimeo<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>More to come in October \u2013 The <strong>Kibbutz Contemporary Dance Company<\/strong> will premiere a new work by choreographer and artistic director Rami Be&#8217;er: <em>Susim BaShamayim<\/em> (Horses in the Sky), which will be performed with Be&#8217;er&#8217;s <em>If At All<\/em> (2012).<\/p>\n<p>The <strong>Eifman Ballet<\/strong> returns with two popular programs: <em>Red Giselle<\/em>, choreographer Boris Eifman&#8217;s new interpretation of the classic ballet; and <em>Tender is the Night<\/em>. (<a href=\"http:\/\/www.midnighteast.com\/mag\/?p=26495\" target=\"_blank\">Midnight East review<\/a>, Israel Festival performance) They will perform a program with works by two leading contemporary choreographers: Ken Ossola and Andonis Foniadakis. Performances will take place in December 2016.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Ballet Biarritz<\/strong> returns with Thierry Malandin&#8217;s <em>Cendrillion<\/em> \u2013 familiarly known as Cinderella. The choreographer remains true to the dramaturgy and score by Prokofiev, while following some of his own themes through this story \u2013 the journey of a dancing star. Performances will take place in April 2017.<br \/>\n<iframe loading=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/xjj1Y4-ehtM\" width=\"560\" height=\"315\" frameborder=\"0\" allowfullscreen=\"allowfullscreen\"><\/iframe><br \/>\n<strong>Philippe Genty<\/strong> returns after a decade long absence, with a new work choreographed with his life and work partner Marie Underwood. Genty&#8217;s work merges dance with theatre, puppets, objects and lighting design to create works of dreams and fantasy. Performances will take place in May\/June 2017.<\/p>\n<p>Chinese dancer and choreographer <strong>Wang Yabin<\/strong> will present <em>The Moon Opera<\/em>, a dance work based on the novel by Bi Feiyu. Has worked in film and television, appearing as a dancer in Zhang Yimou&#8217;s House of Flying Daggers. Choreographed and directed by Wang Yabin, <em>The Moon Opera<\/em> is a collaborative creative endeavor involving Chinese and international artists. This will be the company&#8217;s first visit to Israel. The company will perform <em>The Light Show<\/em>, a work which pairs four choreographers with four lighting designers in an intriguing work featuring light and lasers.
