The popular Chichester Festival revival production, directed by Gordon Greenberg, will be coming directly from the West End to Tel Aviv, with a cast of 40, a live 14-person band, and the large-scale set and costumes that make a stage musical magical. The performances in Israel will be in English with Hebrew surtitles.<\/p>\n<p>Meet Nathan Detroit, a gambler desperately in need for money to get into yet another game, and his long-time girlfriend night-club singer Miss Adelaide. Sky Masterson is even more of a gambler, and can&#8217;t resist a bet \u2013 which involves romancing the buttoned-up Sarah Brown, a missionary. Hilarity, and lots of song and dance, ensues. The Broadway musical Guys and Dolls premiered in 1950, and is based on Damon Runyon&#8217;s short stories &#8220;The Idyll of Miss Sarah Browne&#8221; and &#8220;Blood Pressure,&#8221; published in the 1930s. The songs were composed by Frank Loesser, with the book by Joe Swerling and Abe Burrows.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.midnighteast.com\/mag\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/06\/\u05e8\u05d1\u05dc-\u05d5\u05d5\u05d9\u05dc\u05e1\u05d5\u05df-\u05d9\u05d7\u05e5-300x200.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-34075\" src=\"http:\/\/www.midnighteast.com\/mag\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/06\/\u05e8\u05d1\u05dc-\u05d5\u05d5\u05d9\u05dc\u05e1\u05d5\u05df-\u05d9\u05d7\u05e5-300x200.jpg\" alt=\"\u05e8\u05d1\u05dc \u05d5\u05d5\u05d9\u05dc\u05e1\u05d5\u05df \u05d9\u05d7\u05e5 (300x200)\" width=\"300\" height=\"200\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Luck<em> is<\/em> a lady for London audiences, as Rebel Wilson will be joining the London production this summer through August.
