“I\u00a0don\u2019t know what\u2019s going to happen to my soul when I die, but I have a feeling my body will still be dancing at Yearot Menashe” \u2013 that is what I wrote the day after last year’s festival, feeling “somewhere on the edge of a dream, still listening to the music.” The 9th<\/sup> edition of the Yearot Menashe music festival will take place from May 18 \u2013 20, 2017. Three days of music in one of the most serene and beautiful places in Israel, just around the corner from Armageddon, in the hills of Menashe, roughly between Kibbutz Ein-Hashofet and Kibbutz Hazorea, in the Megiddo Regional Council. Now in its 9th edition, the festival is a local initiative that draws a cohort of the most interesting musicians in Israel, guest international bands, and a diverse audience of all ages. Immersed in nature, embracing the arts, the festival is an emblem of cultural sustainability. Taking place in the area of Ramot Menashe, recognized by UNESCO as a \u201cBiosphere Reserve,\u201d festival goers experience the harmony of culture and nature in action.<\/p>\n

The year’s festival will feature some wonderful performers and exciting collaborations:<\/p>\n

Several unique festival productions: Noam Banai performing with his father Meir Banai’s band, The Buttering Trio with Ester Rada; Gilad Kahana with MALOX; Orphaned Land with a special guest (their only performance in Israel this year); Yael Deckelbaum and the Women’s Peace Ensemble!<\/p>\n

Special feature – the Vertigo Dance Company will present choreographer Noa Wertheim’s new work One. One & One, in site-specific staging for the forest.<\/p>\n

Yearot Menashe will open on Thursday, May 18th<\/sup> \u2013 Saturday, May 20th<\/sup>.<\/p>\n

Tickets are 350 NIS\/370 NIS during the week of the festival and at the door. Children under the age of 12 \u2013 admission free. Early bird tickets (they go fast) are 300 NIS. This terrific festival always sells out \u2013 don’t be disappointed, get your tickets now.<\/p>\n
