An exhibit featuring the nominated works will open at the Tel Aviv Museum on Friday, March 12, and will be open to the general public from March 13.<\/p>\n<p>Israel\u2019s most prestigious private prize for the arts, the Gottesdiener Prize has been awarded annually to an Israeli artist under the age of 40 since 1995. Since 2006 the jury committee has selected finalists whose work is shown in a group exhibit accompanied by a catalogue. The members of this year\u2019s jury are: Prof. Mordechai Omer, David Neuman, Daniella Luxemburg, Ellen Ginton, Nathan Gottesdiener. The finals judge is Catherine Grenier, of the National Museum of Modern Art, Centre Pompidou, Paris. The winner will be announced on Tuesday, 13 April 2010.<\/p>\n<p>Nira Pereg, born in 1969, will exhibit <em>Mountain<\/em>, which includes the video work \u201cSabbath\u201d, 2008, and the new video work \u201c\u201cKept Alive\u201d, 2010 (three channels HD video and 18 photographs), employing documentary materials filmed in Jerusalem.<\/p>\n<figure id=\"attachment_3732\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-3732\" style=\"width: 509px\" class=\"wp-caption aligncenter\"><a href=\"http:\/\/www.midnighteast.com\/mag\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/03\/ErezIsraelFridayEve2008.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-full wp-image-3732\" title=\"ErezIsraelFridayEve2008\" src=\"http:\/\/www.midnighteast.com\/mag\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/03\/ErezIsraelFridayEve2008.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"509\" height=\"339\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.midnighteast.com\/mag\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/03\/ErezIsraelFridayEve2008.jpg 509w, https:\/\/www.midnighteast.com\/mag\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/03\/ErezIsraelFridayEve2008-300x199.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 509px) 100vw, 509px\" \/><\/a><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-3732\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Erez Israeli from Friday Eve 2008<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>Erez Israeli, born in 1974, presents <em>Curing<\/em>. The title refers to a term taken from the pre-retail stage of processing and curing fabrics, and is also used in other production areas, mostly in processing concrete.
