The company includes over 50 performers \u2013 dancers, musicians, and soloists. Transcarpathia Invoked is inspired by the diversity of traditional cultures of the people living side by side in the Eastern Carpathians and Transcarpathia: Hungarians, Ukranians, Ruthenians, Hutsuls, Romanians, Gypsies and Jews. The music and dances of these peoples are presented in the show, with an emphasis on the shared culture and history. In a scene that promises to be of special relevance to Israeli audiences, a Jewish prayer is sung as a prelude to wedding dances, concluding in a song well known in the Hungarian Jewish community \u2013 <em>The Rooster is Calling<\/em>. The music of a Hungarian folk song with Hebrew text is considered to be a reference to the coming of the Messiah.<\/p>\n<p>Performances:<\/p>\n<p>Monday, June 4<sup>th<\/sup> at 20:00 \u2013 Israeli Opera.
