Now in its third year, the fair will take place at Warehouse 1, Old Jaffa Port from May 5 \u2013 8, 2010, as part of Shafir and Gurion\u2019s commitment to encourage awareness of contemporary art by holding the fair at a different venue each year. This will be the public\u2019s first opportunity to view the newly renovated Warehouse, which was originally built in the 1930s, during the British Mandate, and at one time served as a storehouse for Jaffa oranges.<\/p>\n<p>Established three years ago to promote contemporary art in Israel by providing an opportunity for Israeli artists to exhibit their work, the fair attracted 14,000 visitors in its first year and 36,000 in 2009. Leading Tel Aviv galleries will participate alongside new galleries and independent artists selected by a committee of art professionals. The galleries are: Alon Segev, Bineth, Braverman, Givon, Gordon, Gallery 39, Dvir, Sommer, Tavi Dresner, Noga, N &amp;N Aman, Inga, Rosenfeld, Rawart, Chelouch, Agripas 12, Contemporary by Golconda, d &amp; a, Florentin 45, Erlich, Gal-On, Harel printers and publishers, The Heder, Hezi Cohen, Kayma, Office in Tel Aviv Gallery, p8, Shay Arye.<\/p>\n<p>In addition to the works on exhibit, there will be a silent auction of a painting by Lea Nickel. The proceeds will be donated by the Lea Nickel Foundation to fund art workshops for children with cancer at the Sheba Hospital in Tel Hashomer.<\/p>\n<p>Dror Daum, winner of the Ahouvi Art Collection award for The Most Promising Artist at Fresh Paint 2, will have a solo exhibit of his works at Fresh Paint 3: \u201cParadise Lost\u201d, curated by Sarit Shapira. The winner of the award for 2010 will be announced at the opening.<\/p>\n<p>Opening hours: 5.5, 6.5 12:00 \u2013 22:00, 7.5 10:00 \u2013 18:00, 8.5 10:00 \u2013 22:00<br \/>\nEntrance fee is 35NIS.
