The dancers are primarily culled from the Vaganova Ballet Academy in St. Petersburg. Principal dancers include: Irina Kolesnikova, Anna Podlesnaya,Dmitri Akulinin,\u00a0Andrei Stelmakhov,\u00a0Olga Ovchinnikova\u00a0and\u00a0Oleg Harutkin.<\/p>\n<p>Irina Kolesnikova studied at the Vaganova Ballet Academy. Graduating at age 18, she joined the St. Petersburg Ballet Theatre as a soloist, and within two years was promoted to principal dancer. At age 21 she had become the company&#8217;s Prima Ballerina. She has performed in the greatest roles in classical ballet, including: Clara in <em>The Nutcracker<\/em>, Princess Aurora in <em>The Sleeping Beauty<\/em>, Kitri in <em>Don Quixote<\/em>, Nikiya in <em>La Bayad\u00e8re<\/em>, and Giselle.
