Electric Zoo were ablaze last night at the Barby with all the power, urgency and glorious psychedelic riffs of rock. The energy was amazing \u2013 onstage and in the audience. Launching their new album \u2013 My and My Machine Against the World \u2013 Electric Zoo are: Gal Davidson (guitars and lead vocals), Itay Manber (drums &amp; percussion), Tomer Zuk (Keys &amp; vocals), Ron Ephrati (bass &amp; vocals). There is a retro feel to the band&#8217;s sound, something in the shifts between a delicate evocation of feeling and a dense, electronic forest of sound that takes you deep into a surreal dreamspace. The intensity of the sound is immersive, visceral, its rhythms pounding in the blood, making bodies move. Opening for Electric Zoo were The Turbans \u2013 a Jerusalem based band who set the mood, and then closing the night were the Cosmic Mothership of Love and Vibrations \u2013 a trip unto themselves with lots of color and funk.
