The Zagreb Philharmonic Orchestra, a cultural ambassador of Croatia, will perform in Israel with a special program, under the baton of Conductor Dawid Runtz, and featuring soprano Marija Vidovic. The first part of the concert will be dedicated to Israeli and Croatian works, including Marc Lavry\u2019s Hora, from the Symphonic Poem Emek. Among the works by Croatian composers to be performed will be Samba da camera by Ivo Josipovi\u0107, former President of Croatia.<\/p>\n

The second part of the concert will feature C\u00e9sar Franck’s Symphony in D minor, one of the composer’s best-known works, which premiered in Paris in 1888. \u00a0The Symphony in D Minor is composed of three movements, of which the Allegretto is known for the melody played by the Cor anglaise above plucked harp and strings.<\/p>\n
