Confederation House Jerusalem will present \u201cDays of Oud\u201d from December 27 \u2013 30, 2023. The traditional Oud Festival was postponed this year due to the war, and in its stead there will be a scaled-down version of four days of music, with performances taking place at the Jerusalem venues of the Confederation House, the Yellow Submarine, and the Mazkeka. There will be a discounted ticket price of 10 NIS for evacuees from the South and North. All events will be held in accordance with the guidelines of the Home Front Office.<\/p>\n

Effie Benaya, Artistic Director of \u201cDays of Oud\u201d released a statement: \u201cIt seems as though the world stopped turning on October 7, 2023. The sorrow, shock, and horrific scenes left us broken hearted and stunned. Yet, we decided to bring comfort and the hope of better days through music, whose power to heal can give us consolation and calm even in the most difficult times. In \u201cDays of Oud\u201d we will present four days of moving music performances. We will host Ehud Banai, one of the greatest musicians, on opening night. Knessiyat Hasechel, a band which has established itself as one of the most popular in Israel; musician and creator Micah Biton, who experienced the trauma of October 7th<\/sup> along with his family at his home, Netiv HaAsara; vocalist-creator Sofi Tsedaka with the Baladim Ensemble; pianist and composer Daria Mosenzon, who will launch an album of North African music and host Ziv Yehezkel and Tal Avraham; the Israeli Andalusian Orchestra Ashdod hosting Haim Oliel; the \u00a0A\u00e7\u0131k Telli Ensemble with Turkish music; pianist, composer, and conductor Nizar Elkhatar leading a trio that creates a multi-cultural connection between the piano and the oud; a multi-lingual performance merging poetry, rap, and prayer at the Mazkeka; and the closing night performance of Shem Tov Levi with the tribute ensemble to the RaMHaL (Rabbi Moshe Chaim Luzzatto).\u201d<\/p>\n
