This tour will mark the 16<sup>th<\/sup> time that the company has performed in Israel, where the talented company is always received with enthusiasm. The company\u2019s dancers are spectacular! Inspired by Chekov\u2019s play, which revolves around the theatre and the lives of actors, Eifman has transposed the artistic theme to that of the dance world. Eifman\u2019s Seagull takes the viewer backstage, revealing the hard work, the loves, jealousies, and passions of the dancers. Life and art are intertwined, as the passions of the dancers influence the artistic process, and the dramas of life become art. In this version of The Seagull, the plot moves between the country estate to the rehearsal room of a dance performance. The young Treplev burns with a desire to discover new dance forms, and is in conflict with Trigorin, a successful choreographer who is creating his own interpretation of Swan Lake.
