Founded in 1990 by Yaakov Agmon z\u201dl, the festival is led by his widow, the renowned actor Gila Almagor-Agmon. Theatronetto\u2019s artistic committee members are Gila Almagor-Agmon, Danielle Cohen-Levy, and Shimon Mimran. The festival is produced by Galit Bersky and takes place in cooperation with The Old Jaffa Development Corporation. This year\u2019s festival will take place for the first time under the auspices of the Kipod HaZahav NGO, with performances at the Old Jaffa Theatre, the Jaffa Museum, the Tomashiya, and Meshulash Theatre, from April 14 \u2013 16, 2025.<\/p>\n<p>The program will include 7 one-person plays in competition, as well as 9 short-shorts (up to 15 minutes in length. Tomashiya.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Saudade<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The incredible story of Paolo, who grew up in Brazil with two mothers, immigrating to Israel and found himself between Samba, soccer, and curses in halting Hebrew. But there is one memory that won\u2019t leave him alone, a question that keeps echoing. With bold humor, larger than life characters, and a never-ending soundtrack \u2013 how can the pain be separated from the longing?<\/p>\n<p>Written and performed by Paulo E. Moura; Director and Dramaturg: Nimrod Denishman<\/p>\n<p>Performances: April 15th at 20:00; April 16th at 18:00 and 20:00. Hameshulash Theatre.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Rabinovich and Him \u2013 The Cuckoo Theatre<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Yochanan doesn\u2019t come alone, he is never alone. A problem at the train station brings all trains to a stop and Yochanan Rabinovich is sent to explain the situation to the public. Now everyone waits&#8230;and in the meantime \u2013 he speaks and the words create a world full of joy and innocence, but also anger and suspicion. Humor and pain are interwoven in his complex character that is revealed in the interim before the trains head out again and it is time to say goodbye.<\/p>\n<p>Written and performed by Gili Ivry; Director: Tsvika Fishzon<\/p>\n<p>Performances: April 15th at 22:00; April 16th at 17:30 and 19:30.
