The image of the Kibbutz as viewed through the eyes of photographers and filmmakers over the past 100 years will be the focus of\u00a0\u00a0 \u201cBetween National and Personal Documentation – The Sixth Annual Conference of the Forum for the Preservation of Audio-Visual Memory in Israel\u201d which will take place on July 9, 2010 as part of the Jerusalem Film Festival.<\/p>\n

Celebrating the 50th anniversary of the Israel Film Archive of the Jerusalem Cinematheque, the conference will take place at the Van Leer Institute. Rare archival material will be screened during the conference. An exhibit of photographs by Hannan Bahir of Kibbutz Givat Brenner, one of the first photographers of the Kibbutz, who began taking his first photographs in the 1930s, will be on display in the lobby. The conference will be moderated by Dan Muggia.<\/p>\n
