If the festival theme sounds unusual \u2013 that\u2019s the idea. It is intended to function as a provocative focal point for the choreographers invited to participate in the festival, resulting in works that relate to the theme in diverse and unexpected ways.<\/p>\n<p>Taking its title from a 1908 essay by Austrian architect and cultural critic Adolf Loos \u2013 Ornament and Crime is the third (and according to Mr. Ashbel \u2013 the last) in a trilogy of festivals co-directed by Nava Zuckerman (founder and artistic director of Tmuna) and Ariel Efraim Ashbel, coming after Pink-Green (2008) and Ugly (2009). The festival provides artists with the literal and figurative space to take risks, experiment with new forms and ideas, and have fun.<\/p>\n<p>New work from Ran Ben Dror, Michal Gil, Anat Katz and Erez Ma\u2019ayan, Idan Yoav, Efrat Nevo, Yasmin Farber and Rotem Tashach, will premiere at the festival, as well as<br \/>\nYouMake ReMake (YouTube) [Hebrew: Tzitut VePesha] &#8211; an evening of works created in response to YouTube, curated by Ariel Efraim Ashbel and Renana Raz. Smadar Yaaron\u2019s Death of the Dervish, created for Intimadance 2008, will be performed in a new, expanded version.<\/p>\n<p>The festival takes place at Tmuna Theatre, 8 Soncino Street, Tel Aviv.
