The play will be performed in Romanian, with subtitles in Hebrew.<\/p>\n<figure id=\"attachment_6452\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-6452\" style=\"width: 513px\" class=\"wp-caption aligncenter\"><a href=\"http:\/\/www.midnighteast.com\/mag\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/08\/IZA_photo_Dragos_Spiteru-4small.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-full wp-image-6452\" title=\"IZA_photo_Dragos_Spiteru (4)small\" src=\"http:\/\/www.midnighteast.com\/mag\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/08\/IZA_photo_Dragos_Spiteru-4small.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"513\" height=\"466\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.midnighteast.com\/mag\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/08\/IZA_photo_Dragos_Spiteru-4small.jpg 513w, https:\/\/www.midnighteast.com\/mag\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/08\/IZA_photo_Dragos_Spiteru-4small-300x272.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 513px) 100vw, 513px\" \/><\/a><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-6452\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Iza\/Photo: Dragos Spiteru<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>M\u0103niu\u0163iu\u2019s Electra premiered at the Sibiu International Theatre Festival, and won several awards, including best directing and dramaturgy, at the Marida Festival in Spain.<\/p>\n<p>Electra, daughter of Agamemnon and Clytemnestra, seeks the aid of her brother Orestes to avenge the murder of her father by Clytemnestra and her lover Aegisthus.\u00a0 Clytemnestra killed Agamemnon for his sacrifice of their daughter, Iphigenia to the gods during the Trojan War.<\/p>\n<p>Mihai M\u0103niu\u0163iu graduated from the National Institute of Theatre Art and Cinema in Bucharest, he describes his style as an &#8220;ars combinatorica&#8221;, which can be seen in the current fusion of two classical Greek texts with a contemporary arrangement of Romanian folk music.<\/p>\n<p>Performances will take place August 29 &amp; 30 at 20:30, at the Cameri Theatre, 19 Shaul Hamelech Blvd, Tel Aviv.
