This year, the US Embassy presents a unique concert \u201cShohat meets Ptashka: Classic meets Jazz\u201d at the Tel Aviv Museum on Sunday, October 17, 2010 at 20:00. The concert is free and open to the public. (update October 15: We are sorry to announce that at this time the event is already full)<\/p>\n<figure id=\"attachment_7815\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-7815\" style=\"width: 557px\" class=\"wp-caption aligncenter\"><a href=\"http:\/\/www.midnighteast.com\/mag\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/10\/Ptashka.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-full wp-image-7815 \" title=\"Ptashka\" src=\"http:\/\/www.midnighteast.com\/mag\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/10\/Ptashka.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"557\" height=\"393\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.midnighteast.com\/mag\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/10\/Ptashka.jpg 795w, https:\/\/www.midnighteast.com\/mag\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/10\/Ptashka-300x211.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 557px) 100vw, 557px\" \/><\/a><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-7815\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Leonid Ptashka<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>Two outstanding Israeli pianists, Gil Shohat and Leonid Ptashka, will perform together, each bringing his own style and interpretation of classical and jazz pieces.<\/p>\n<p>The concert will be held at the Tel Aviv Museum and will feature the World premiere of \u201cIzkor\u201d composed by Gil Shohat and Leonid Ptashka in memory of Daniel Pearl. The concert is a gift of the U.S Embassy to the city of Tel Aviv-Yaffo.<\/p>\n<p>Admission is free, but prior reservations must be made. Please send an email to <a href=\"mailto:TLVPDPE@state.gov\">TLVPDPE@state.gov<\/a> no later than October 14 (Please type \u201cDaniel Pearl\u201d in the subject line.
