A-Genre Festival is an extraordinary artistic experiment that will take place in the halls, backstage, bar and corridors of Tmuna Theatre in Tel Aviv from January 20 \u2013 22, 2011. This is the 9th year running that Tmuna has invited artists of different disciplines to pursue an idea and take risks without the need to adapt themselves to a particular genre or structure \u2013 physical, conceptual or temporal \u2013 anything goes.<\/p>\n

\u00a0Artistic directors Nava Zuckerman and Yair Vardi have selected \u201cLoyalty Oaths\u201d as the theme for this year\u2019s festival. The theme provides a source of inspiration, reflection and associations, a touch-point for creativity, rather than an imposed subject, a suggestion for directions of thought. The participating artists who will present their \u201cLoyalty Oaths\u201d are: Noa Dar, Smadar Yaaron, Rotem Tashach, Nava Frenkel, Shelly Palmon, Nevo Romano, Ariel Cohen, Osnat Kelner, Keren Ida Natan.<\/p>\n

\u201cGuest Oaths\u201d at the festival will be: the Fattoria Vittadini dance company from Italy, performing MY TRUE SELF, a work by Maya Weinberg, and a premiere of Noa Shadur\u2019s film Country Club.<\/p>\n

There will also be time for personal perspectives – \u201cPersonal Oaths\u201d by politicians, artists and other intellectuals preceding each performance (FREE admission). Tmuna promises that details will follow\u2026<\/p>\n

But part of the fun of A-Genre is the adventure of walking into the unknown and encountering the unexpected. The closing event is FREE and open to the public \u2013 a discussion with the artists, performers, thinkers and all, on Saturday, January 22, 2011 at 22:30.<\/p>\n

Loyalty Oaths will take place:

\nFriday, January 21, 2011 at 14:00
\nSaturday, January 22, 2011, at 17:00<\/p>\n

Guest Oaths will take place:

Personal Oaths \u2013 approximately an hour before each performance:
