New at this year’s festival is a third venue – a quiet space to chill out with acoustic music, conversation, DJ sessions and lectures.

The Yaarot Menashe Festival takes place in the hills of Menashe, roughly between Kibbutz Ein-Hashofet and Kibbutz Hazorea, in the Megiddo Regional Council. If you are coming from afar, there’s an online forum to connect with rides, and new this year – an option of purchasing a festival ticket + bus ride for 180 NIS.

Opening night is free and open to the public, with local musicians performing. Tickets are required for all events from Friday noon onward – last year’s festival sold out in advance, so take heed!

Tickets are 120 NIS advance purchase, 140 NIS at the event, 70 NIS Saturday only, kids under the age of 12 – free. Order online, or locally: Tel Aviv at Humus Abu-Dabi, 81 King George Street, 03-5259090; Megiddo 04-9598506; Haifa, Goldmond Bookstore, 32 Masada Street, 04-8622472; Jerusalem, Uganda, 4 Aristobulos Street, 02-6236087.
