What’s new this summer? Lollipop Summer Pop Festival featuring Jason Derulo  and Rita Ora at Live Park Rishon LeZion on August 1, 2018! Israeli talents include Eliad Nahum  hosting Axum,  Arutz HaKibud and Adi Ulmansky – all coming together for a night that is all about pop! *update* Rita Ora will not be arriving for the festival.

Tickets will go on sale on Sunday, April 8, 2018 (that’s today!) at 18:00 – get them from Ticketmaster. Tickets are 335 NIS. Discounted tickets for American Express and Leumi Card holders will go on sale Monday, April 9th for 275 NIS.

Jason Derulo wrote his first song at age 8, and began his career in music writing songs for other artists, including Diddy, Pitbull, Lil Wayne. Derulo was born in Florida in 1989 to Haitian parents. He studied at arts schools, where he trained both as a singer and dancer. His debut single Watcha Say was released in 2009, and it sold over 5 million downloads. His eponymous debut studio album, Jason Derulo, was released in March 2010. While his music is defined as pop, it also has R&B and hip-hop influences. Derulo cites Michael Jackson as his main musical inspiration, other influences include Elvis Presley, Madonna, Prince, Usher and Justin Timberlake. Derulo’s best known hits include Swalla, Talk Dirty, Wiggle, and Tip Toe.

British singer Rita Ora was born to Albanian parents in Yugoslavia in 1990. Her family left Kosovo for political reasons and moved to London when she was a year old. She began singing at a young age and graduated from a performing arts school. Her first performances were at open-mic sessions and in the pub owned by her father. She made cameo appearances in JayZ’s video Young Forever and Drake’s video Over. R.I.P. her first single from her debut album, went to the top of the UK charts, as did her second single How We Do (Party). Her debut album Ora was released in 2012.
