The Guy Mintus Trio and opera soloists return for an evening that merges jazz and opera on Monday, September 5, 2022. Under the musical direction of Guy Mintus and directed by Shirit Lee Weiss, the evening features performances by opera soloists Tal Ganor, Goni Knaani, Daniel Skorka, Anat Czarny and musicians Oren Hardy (bass) and Yonatan Rosen (drums).

Mintus selected several of the most famous operatic arias and arranged them with a jazz twist. Among the arias to be performed are Pamina’s aria from The Magic Flute, Cherubino’s aria from The Marriage of Figaro, Rosina’s aria from The Barber of Seville, Musetta’s aria from La Bohème, the Seguidilla from Bizet’s Carmen, Dido’s parting aria from Dido and Aeneas, and an all-women’s jazz version of the sexist aria La Donna è Mobile from Verdi’s Rigoletto.

The performance will take place on Monday, September 5th at 20:00. Tickets may be ordered on the Israeli Opera website: https://www.israel-opera.co.il/eng/
