Last chance for entries to Zimmer’s “Lo Kelim” (Not Instruments) Festival! The festival will take place at the legendary Zimmer on 5 HaGdud HaIvri Street in Tel Aviv from November 18 – 21, 2011. Lo Kelim (Not Instruments) is a festival of music created by means that are not traditional musical instruments (excluding tapes – Zimmer has a separate festival for those).

Creative instrument inventors may still submit entries, but hurry – the final deadline is October 23, 2011. Zimmer says: “If you’ve invented something, built something, changed the purpose and an object and it can now be used to play music, Zimmer is the place, Lo Kelim is the opportunity.” Write to: zimmer.ta2@gmail.com

Those of you who are feeling slightly less daring and inventive are invited to enjoy the festival itself in November, and check out Zimmer’s bandcamp and facebook pages.
