Brazilian singer Fabiana Cozza will be performing in Israel with the Voices of Peace Choir at the Arab-Jewish Community Center in Jaffa on December 15, 2011 at 19:00.
Conducted by Idan Toledano, Musical Director of the Arab-Jewish Community Center, the Voices of Peace Choir is composed of Christian, Jewish, and Muslim youths who sing in three languages: Arabic, English and Hebrew. This past August the choir was invited by the Jewish community in Sao Paolo to sing in a festive concert together with Fabiana Cozza at the Teatro Bradesco. The warm connection between the popular singer and the choir has led to the joint concert that will take place on December 15th at the center. Fabiana Cozza will perform with Voices of Peace and Shirana. Shirana is a choir of 20 women, all Jaffa residents – Christian, Jewish and Muslim, who sing a repertoire of international folksongs together at the Arab-Jewish Community Center.
The Cultural Attache of the Brazilian Embassy will be in attendance at the concert, as will representatives of the Israeli Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
Fabiana Cozza will also perform at the Zappa Club in Tel Aviv on December 16, 2011 and in Herzliya on December 17, 2011.
