“I’m very excited about our first trip to Israel,” said Cecilia, “the program which the Raanana Symphonette will perform in this concert is a sincere invitation to become acquainted with the music of Joaquín Rodrigo. Personally, I view my father as an important ambassador of Spanish culture, of the authentic and cultured Spain which he represents. At a time when some pioneers distanced themselves from tonal music, he believed that through melody he created his own individual language.”
