The community of Pardes Hanna – Karkur opens its doors every spring for a weekend-long celebration of the arts, with music, paintings, sculptures, jewelry, ceramics, food and fun from March 14 – 16, 2013. Artists will open their studios to the public, displaying their works and conducting workshops and gallery talks. Music performances will take place throughout the weekend. Some events are free, and some charge an entrance fee. The complete schedule and enticing photographs are available on the website.

Dror Ahava Romem and the Groovatron
Dror Ahava Romem and the Groovatron

Dror Ahava-Romem, soloist of the Groovatron, perform a blues session at the Yadit Theatre (1 Haroshet Street, Pardes Hanna) on Friday, March 15th at 13:00. Free admission.

Naim Kassim and Studio Shihar will present an artistic theatrical fashion show (102 Derech Hanadiv, Pardes Hanna, 052-3625116) on Friday, March 15th at 13:00. Naim will give a talk on “The Philosophy of Fashion” on Saturday, March 16th at 12:00 at the same address. Both events – Free admission.
Studio Tika (34 Shaldag Street) will host two performances on Friday afternoon: Yuval Sela at 13:00, and Ehud Ariel at 15:00 with a Kabbalat Shabbat. Free admission.

Smartphone and tablet owners (or borrowers) can enjoy a drawing workshop with artist Margo Gran at 22 Hamoshav Street, Karkur (052-5223470) on  Friday, March 15th from 14:00 – 16:00. Free admission.

Singing Bowls performance by Mark Yudel, with a demonstration of Raku firing. Raffle winners will take home the ceramic results of the firing! Saturday, March 16th, at 14:00, 77 Aleph Hadarim Street, Pardes Hanna, 050-5947698. Free admission.
