The 11th edition of the International Music Showcase Festival IL will take place December 8 – 11, 2020, featuring 16 bands over three days online, with the 4th day of the festival dedicated to meetings between Israeli artists and global music industry professionals. Traditionally, the festival is peak event in the music year, with back to back performances over two long weekends, and international guests from leading festivals worldwide. The pandemic precludes the possibility of live shows, but – hey, silver linings: by going online, the festival will now be open to everyone, anywhere!
The festival team has produced a new format for online viewing, with images from different locations throughout Israel, studio interviews and performances filmed live. On most years, the different genres are represented on separate weekends, this year, Rock, Indie, Electronic Music, Jazz, Hip Hop and World Music will all be featured over the course of three shows. Hosts for the evenings will be announced in the near future. The festival will be shown on the International Music Showcase website, facebook page, and the Yellow Submarine YouTube channel.
