Sex Magic, Manifesting Maya

SPIRIT – Tel Aviv’s International Film Festival of films that enlighten, challenge and inspire personal, spiritual growth and reflection, will take place at the Tel Aviv Cinematheque from October 14 – 16, 2010 with screenings of 30 feature, documentary and short films. 

A weekend spiritual happening, the festival includes workshops, lectures, exhibits, and a new age fair. Guests of the festival include:

Anna Halprin, pioneer of post-modern dance will arrive for the screening of the festival’s opening film “Breath Made Visible,” a documentary of her life, along with the film’s director Rudi Gerber. Halprin will also conduct a workshop on Saturday, October 16th at 21:00.

Emmanuel Itier, director of the film “Invocation” and the film’s cinematographer, Claude Budin-Juteau will be guests of the festival. The film explores the notion of God and features interviews with leading thinkers such as Desmond Tutu, the Dalai Lama and Deepak Chopra.

Rabbi Ohad Ezrahi will discuss spiritual development within the context of a relationship in conjunction with the screening of the film “Sex Magic, Manifesting Maya” a documentary film directed by Jonathan Schnell and Eric Liebman.

A symposium on “Death, Birth and Between the Two” will take place on Thursday, October 14 between 10:00 and 18:00.

The festival’s artistic directors are Harsita and Anamika Eshel, founders of the Lev Tahor organization, and it is produced by the De’plus production company in conjunction with the Tel Aviv Cinematheque.
