In the Theatronetto Hyde Park tradition, students from the Kibbutz Seminar Theatre Department have created outdoor installations and physical theatre performances exploring the gap between vision and reality in the Israeli Declaration of Independence. The installations and performances take place in the courtyard of the Arab-Hebrew Theatre in Jaffa, at 10 Mifratz Shlomo Street in the Old City of Jaffa. Tonight, April 23, 2011, is the last night of the festival; the action usually begins about an hour before the start of the first plays – roughly around 19:30, and lasts, with breaks, until the end of the evening.

Free and open to the public, a stroll through the courtyard is recommended. The different performances are visually very appealing, often funny, and for those who want to take the experience more seriously – offer some food for thought. The photos below should whet your appetite!
