Cedar Lake Contemporary Ballet, one of the most fun and fascinating repertory dance companies, will be returning to Israel this week with an intriguing, diverse program.
Founded in 2003, the young company company began its swift ascent in the public consciousness when Benoit-Swan Pouffer was appointed Artistic Director. Connecting with cutting edge choreographers, the company soon became known for creative collaborations that not only reflected the talents and surging energies of the dancers, but offered audiences the opportunity to see dance from an international perspective.
The sensual, athletic physicality of the dancers is well matched by their artistic sensibilities, I saw them at the Israeli Opera in 2008, and it was a night to remember! On the program this week:
