Company E will perform the Israeli premiere of Sharon Eyal and Gai Behar’s Killer Pig in May. The company, directed by Paul Gordon Emerson, founder of City Dance Ensemble, will perform in Israel with a diverse program including works by Paul Taylor, Kate Weare, Paul Gordon Emerson. The Herzliya Performing Arts Center will host Company E as part of their dancer series from May 14 – 17, 2012; from there the company’s Israeli tour will continue to Beer Sheva, Haifa, Jerusalem and Modi’in.
Founded in June 2011, Company E has an international ensemble of dancers who create moving diplomacy, performing works by choreographers from around the world. Based in Washington D.C. the company tours extensively, performing and conducting workshops from Peru to Abu Dhabi. Among their international collaborations, Israeli choreographers have a strong presence in the company’s repertoire. This past February the company presented an all-Israeli evening in D.C. featuring works by Ohad Naharin, Yossi Berg & Oded Graf, Sharon Eyal & Gai Behar.
