The Jerusalem Academy of Music and Dance will present their annual concert in memory of Sharon Tavor Pintz on Wednesday, January 15, 2014 at 20:00 at the YMCA in Jerusalem, performed by the Mendi Rodan Symphony Orchestra conducted by Ronen Borshevsky; musical director Prof. Eitan Globerson.

Featured in this concert will be the winners of the Sharon Tavor Pintz Competition for Soloists: Isaac Liebe – Bassoon; and Benjamin Goodman – piano. I had the pleasure of hearing Benjamin Goodman perform in a Chamber Trio at the Academy just last week, and I would very much recommend any performance by this young pianist.

On the program:

Mozart: Bassoon Concerto in B-flat major, K.191
Mozart: Symphony No.38 in D major, K.504 “Prague Symphony”
Mascagni: Intermezzo from the opera Cavalleria rusticana
Rachmaninoff: Piano Concerto No. 2, Op. 18

Tickets are 60 NIS/30 NIS seniors, workers unions and mailing list members. To order, call: 054-9293405. The concert will take place at the YMCA, 26 David Hamelech Street, Jerusalem
